The Energy Price Cap is expected to rise this October by 2%, costing the average household £2.93 a month extra

Ofgem uses the price of the wholesale market to determine the cost of the price cap. Despite the UK moving to more renewable sources, our dependence on the international gas market leads to high costs to the consumer.

Check with your supplier, if you are getting the best deal, and if you're on a flexible tariff, see if you can find a cheaper fixed one instead, avoiding these rising costs, especially as it's expected to rise further in the Spring!

This is one of many reasons why we at Surya emphasise the need for solar on Mandirs and community buildings; rising costs hamper the ability of organisations to run buildings that are the beating heart of the community.
