Salt Bread @hanaasbrink is now my new favorite dinner roll. Perhaps this is because it is really a cross between a dinner roll and a croissant. Beginning with a tangzhong-base, it is a gorgeous, pliable yeasted dough that, after waiting for me overnight, is rolled up into balls and out into individual triangle shapes. Each soon-to-be-bun wraps itself around a tablespoon of frozen salted butter (@plugrabutter) and rises for about an hour. These beauties are misted with water and topped with flaky sea salt @maldonsalt. As they bake, the butter inside slowly releases and essentially creates a pool in which each roll gently fries. Isn’t that just a beautiful thought - that crisp edge to the base of every one? As the rolls finish baking/frying, they are basted with the remaining pan butters. Again, beautiful thoughts. Have them with dinner, or have them with soup. Send some to your MIL. Have them because they are sitting there on the counter (👀), and you just want one. They are that crazy good!! ✨🧈🥚🥛🥐😮‍💨🤍😮‍💨🥐🥛🥚🧈✨ Baking along with the @bonappetitmag Baking Club for the month of October! 🥐 #saltbread #tangzhong #babakeclub #bonappetitmag #hanaasbrink
To progress, you need patience. Progress is never a smooth or straight road. It’s full of bumps, ups and downs, setbacks and unexpected turns. But that’s why success takes time. It takes consistency, resilience and most importantly, patience. After two rounds of PRP injections and over 14 weeks away from the track, I’ve finally made it back to my first session. One of my biggest lessons throughout this process has been learning to trust the work I’m putting in, even when I can’t see the results just yet. You’ll get there in time. Just keep chipping away. 🤍
If only I could bottle Autumn up forever !!! 🍂✨
