Dancing wasn't on my bingo card this year but I'm so glad it found its way on it. This has truly been one of the most amazing experiences I've ever had. Let's keep shaking those hips yall!
“Behind the British Royal Family’s most iconic diamonds stands one woman: Queen Mary, the architect of a legendary collection”. Queen Mary of Teck (1867-1953) - The Ultimate Royal Collector - was the most prolific collector and curator of jewelry in British royal history, transforming the collection into a powerhouse of historic diamonds and tiaras. She had an exceptional eye for gemstones, especially diamonds and emeralds. She actively acquired, redesigned, and even dismantled historic pieces believing royal jewels should be adaptable and worn across generation. She wasn’t just a wearer of jewels... she was a strategic collector, restorer, and creator of one of the greatest royal jewelry collections in history. The Queen was responsible for acquiring some of the most legendary diamond jewels in the Royal Family’s including: The Cullinan Diamonds (Mary ensured the acquisition of the massive 1910 Cullinan diamonds from South Africa, frequently wearing them, including the 94.4-carat Cullinan Ill and 63.6-carat Cullinan IV together) The Delhi Durbar Tiara & Parure, the Diamond Fringe Tiara, the Diamond Fringe Tiara, the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland Tiara, the Lover’s Knot Tiara. She actively acquired important pieces whenever they surfaced and indirectly purchased several former Romanov jewels through dealers and aristocratic intermediaries She often reset or modified them to suit British royal taste. #QueenMary #Britain #Fyp #reels #royaljewels (QueenMaryofTeck - QueenElizabeth - History - Art - Arthistory - Royal - Royals - Jewellery - Diamonds - Rarediamond - Britain - England - Britishroyaljewels)
In a country where those in power have forgotten their responsibilities, the people must remind them who put them there and who has the power to remove them. /🗣️ X :- ColdCigar
