AVOID travelling to Japan during these months 🙅🏻♀️ (and when to go instead)
Months to avoid and when to go to Japan instead:
❌ September (typhoon season so this may disrupt most of your outdoor plans)
✅ October
❌ November (peak autumn season where it can get super crowded because everyone wants to experience peak autumn foliage)
✅ October
❌ December (late December can be problematic due to Christmas and the New Year holidays where locals travel alot, leading to high demand, sold-out bookings, and increased prices for flights and accommodation)
✅ January/ February
❌ April (cherry blossom season is one of the most expensive and crowded period to travel to Japan. I personally thought that the cherry blossoms in Japan are overrated because you can basically experience the same if not better in many other parts of the world!)
✅ March
❌June (rainy season so this will disrupt your outdoor plans and it can get really messy)
✅ May
❌July (if you’re not a fan of heat and humidity, coming during this time will be your biggest nightmare)
✅ May
❌August (summer continues and this is when Japan has one of their biggest public holiday- Obon holiday where many local shops/ restaurants/ attractions will be closed and everything is expensive during this time)
✅ May
My personal favourite months in Japan are May and October as it’s not too crowded and generally I prefer warmer seasons with minimal pollen in the air 😅
Which month will you be travelling to Japan?✨
