Nine people were killed after a plane crashed Sunday in a residential area near Cresthaven, according to authorities, as social media posts appear to show a crater in the road in Palm Beach County. The Learjet 60, which is described as a mid-size cabin, medium range business jet, departed from Austin-Bergstrom International Airport in Texas, the Federal Aviation Administration said in a statement. The aircraft crashed around 12:50 p.m. while headed to North Eleuthera Airport in the Bahamas. U.S Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy confirmed on X that all 9 people on board were killed in this “horrific tragedy,” he said in the post. He asked people to join him in “praying for the families and loved ones of those we lost.” 🔗 You can read the full story at the link in our bio ✍️: Sofia Saric 📸: Eduin Cruz Eduin Cruz via REUTERS
