Wildlife Photographer of the Year 62’ 🌍 Cohosting this awards night is always a highlight of the year, and last night was no different. To celebrate the very best photographers from around the globe and get insights into their work is very special… not to mention getting to do the ceremony at the @natural_history_museum, too 🤯 The images this year are phenomenal - some beautiful, some technically perfect, some weird (the zombie ant fungus - SO COOL!) and some extremely poignant. The exhibition to see them in person is now open so make sure you go and check it out. Congratulations to each and every photographer - you’re all such inspirations, bring wildlife and stories closer to the millions. #WPY62 Loved being able to bring my mum along as well this year 🥰 Dress: borrowed from @jennypackham M x
THE STRONGEST PEOPLE DON'T REACT TO EVERYTHING. THEY CHOOSE WHAT DESERVES THEIR ENERGY. 🔥 One of the most powerful skills you can develop in life is emotional self-control. Not everyone deserves an explanation. Not every insult deserves a reaction. Not every disagreement deserves an argument. And not every situation deserves your peace. The moment you learn to pause before reacting, you begin to take control of your life. 🧠 12 powerful reminders worth remembering: 🧠 Protect your peace. Not everyone needs access to your emotions. ⏳ Pause before responding. A few seconds of patience can prevent hours of regret. 🤫 Stop explaining yourself to people who are committed to misunderstanding you. 🔐 Be selective about what you share. Privacy is a form of self-respect. 💪 Never allow someone else's disrespect to change your character. 👀 Observe more. Speak with intention. Let your actions carry weight. ❤️ Stop chasing people, attention, or approval that constantly costs you your peace. 🔥 Stay composed under pressure. Calmness is a strength. 🚶‍♂️ Choose your battles wisely. Walking away isn't always weakness. 🌱 Break unhealthy patterns instead of repeating them. ✨ Feel your emotions, but don't let every emotion control your decisions. 🎯 Build a life filled with purpose, growth, and meaningful goals. Remember this: Real strength isn't about being cold, emotionless, or impossible to hurt. It's about knowing how to feel deeply without allowing every emotion to control your actions. You can be kind without being weak. You can be confident without being arrogant. You can set boundaries without being cruel. And you can protect your peace without losing your humanity. The goal isn't to control other people. It's to become more intentional about how you respond to life. ❤️ 📌 Save this post for the moments when you need to protect your peace.
