ACP Manasvi Vashishta, who led the protest by police personnel outside the Delhi Police Headquarters on Monday, has been suspended for ‘violation of discipline’.  The suspension comes a day after around 100 police personnel, including women officers, protested outside Gate No. 1 of the Delhi Police Headquarters (PHQ) over the transfers of ACP Manasvi Vashistha and Inspector Arun Kumar. The police personnel demanded a meeting with Police Commissioner Anurag Kumar and the reinstatement of the two officials. An incident on October 23 at Shahdara police station is behind the protests. An advocate allegedly sustained a serious head injury during a scuffle at the station, prompting district court lawyers to launch an indefinite strike, demanding action against the police personnel involved. The strike was called off after the transfer orders were issued. The police personnel, however, opposed the transfers and sought action against the lawyers involved in the confrontation.
Happy Halloween! 🎃🩸 What better way to wrap up spooky season than with a return to one of horror’s most iconic stories? For our final digital cover of the month, we’re stepping into the world of #Carrie with Alison Thornton (@ali.g.thornton), who takes on the role of Chris Hargensen in Mike Flanagan’s series adaptation of Stephen King’s iconic debut novel. Reimagining a character previously portrayed by Nancy Allen in the beloved 1976 film, Alison brings a fresh perspective to one of Carrie White’s most notorious bullies. With the new adaptation expanding the story across eight episodes, Thornton explores the troubled teenager behind Chris’s cruelty, finding the humanity in a character audiences love to hate. “So much of what Chris does comes from her home life and her lack of emotional support, and a lot of the conversations with Mike [Flanagan] were just about humanizing her and making sure that she doesn’t just come from a place of cruelty for the sake of cruelty. A lot of her bullying Carrie has nothing to do with Carrie. It all has to do with Chris and what she’s going through, and her lack of healthy coping mechanisms.” Read the full cover feature at Popternative.com. Link in bio. To all the good boys who made it to the end of October, congratulations. I hope that there's a release... at some point. But maybe not just yet. @bluf5290 and @sub_underwood, captured by the supremely talented @rafandway1 at @folsomeurope.
