We are thrilled to share the gender breakdown of submissions to The Harmattan on Rolling Hills Anthology! What excites us most is the diversity of voices represented. Each submission reflects a unique perspective, and together, they weave the kind of rich, inclusive storytelling that makes this anthology truly special. Here’s to building a platform where every voice matters and our stories shine in all their variety. #HarmattanOnRollingHills

These disappeared so fast!🍯🍫✨HEMPIES with added body benefiting ‘natural caramel’. Comment RECIPE if you’d like the recipe sent to your DMs! Sometimes when I make something or serve it to my kids I like to think or talk about all the benefits each ingredient gifts us! So here’s what you can think about while sinking your teeth into some natures candy. ☀️Medjool dates create that naturally sweet, caramel-like bottom, and their fiber supports digestion and helps keep you regular and feeling satisfied. They also contain potassium, which helps your muscles and nerves work properly. 🍫Dark chocolate brings rich flavor and cocoa compounds called flavanols that help protect cells from everyday oxidative stress. ✨Hemp hearts add plant protein for building and repairing body tissue, plus omega-3 fats that support heart and brain function. Their protein and healthy fats can also help you feel satisfied for longer! 🍯And nut butter adds more protein to support your muscles, along with unsaturated fats which helps protect your cells! There’s something about thinking about the benefits that helps develop a really strong healthy connection to what we consume. It’s something I like to practice with myself - especially when I’m trying to focus more on my health and conversations I like to have with the kids to help them develop a healthy relationship with food too! Anyway this is delish and can’t wait to make it again!! If you’re looking for endless delicious nourishing recipe inspo- my meal planner is linked in bio! #plantoverprocessed #veganrecipe #glutenfreevegan #easyrecipes

🧐 Old cartoon shows, often associated with the golden age of animation from the 1930s through the 1980s, were primarily hand-drawn shorts and series produced by major studios such as Warner Bros., Disney, Hanna-Barbera, and MGM. These programs featured exaggerated characters, slapstick humor, and simple moral lessons, airing in theaters before movies or on early television. Iconic examples include Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies with Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck, Tom and Jerry’s endless cat-and-mouse chases, and Disney classics like Mickey Mouse shorts. Aimed largely at children but enjoyed by all ages, they relied on vibrant colors, memorable catchphrases, and musical scores to entertain without complex plots or ongoing story arcs. These early cartoons shaped generations of viewers through their creativity and accessibility, introducing techniques like squash-and-stretch animation while reflecting the cultural attitudes of their time. Shows such as The Flintstones, Scooby-Doo, and The Jetsons brought cartoon storytelling into living rooms via Saturday morning television, blending fantasy with everyday situations. Although some content has been criticized in retrospect for outdated stereotypes, their lasting influence is evident in modern animation, merchandise, and nostalgic revivals. Old cartoon shows remain cherished for their innocent fun, inventive gags, and role in defining American pop culture.
