Not much of a break after racing Xterra Japan, so the goal was to finish well. So much anxiety before a race with wonky legs n uncertainty if making to the cut off was possible.
Luckily I’ve manage to finish well n alive.
Super tough climb as I remember climbing it 20yrs ago.
Brings back plenty of memories ascending the beast of the east.

Totally worth it to ride up Genting Highlands, any other day will be illegal to climb. We had full closure of the roads (very safe) n enough water stations. If you’re a cycling enthusiast, this Hors category climb should definitely be in your bucket list!
