Experiences don’t change you. What changes you is what you do with what you learn from them.

A few months ago, I decided to move alone to Bali for 2 months, fully independent.

What I discovered during this time is that life truly shifts when you step outside of what you know. Culturally, spiritually, personally, and professionally, every single day brought a different kind of lesson.

I met incredible people, both locals and foreigners, and I proved to myself that I accomplished everything I set out to do.

Most importantly: I kept my word.

These two months in Bali have allowed me to:

- Keep my word daily, both personally and professionally.
- Discover new cultures, languages, and ways of thinking.
- Confirm that I can fully depend on myself.
- Reflect deeply on what I really want for the future.
- Give my full attention to the connections that truly matter, both personal and professional.
- Keep growing my business at full speed, even from thousands of miles away.

One of the most valuable lessons has been understanding that attachment is a trap.

Attachment to people, places, or experiences… If your happiness depends on something external, the moment it disappears, it breaks. What really matters is learning to be fine with yourself, no matter where you are, who you’re with, or what the situation is.

That’s why I sum up my experience with this formula that I have created:

(Travel + Learn) x (Reflect + Apply) / Attachments = Growth

The more attachments you carry, the more the result slows down.

(Travel + Learn) represents the external input, what you receive from the world.
(Reflect + Apply) represents the internal input, what you do with what you’ve received.

Multiplied together, they create the only path to exponential growth.

Places change, people change, but the commitment to yourself is the only thing that remains.

Sincerely,
Marcos.
