delighted to have had the chance today to see the exhibition of work of the japanese designer kohei sugiura, who has just turned 94 two days ago. this small select fraction of work - books, prints, posters, calendars - has been painstakingly put together by prof kirti trivedi of the iit, who has also worked with and continues to collaborate with mr sugiura. prof kirti’s very own retrospective is also scheduled for december this year, at the bic, bangalore. it is very inspiring to view the work of people who have worked so hard and meaningfully their entire lives, and also to view such intense interpretations of an ‘asian’ way.
