You may not know her name, but Rebecca Cheptegei’s story lives with us all.

A mother. A first-time Olympian. A teammate in the global sports community. After her Olympic debut in Paris 2024, Rebecca was tragically killed - an unthinkable reminder of how unsafe sport can be for too many women and girls.

On October 12–13 at Stanford University, we gather not to mourn, but to mobilize. The inaugural Rebecca Cheptegei Symposium & Design Lab will bring together athletes, leaders, students, and YOU to reimagine what excellence in sport looks like - when joy, agency, and safety are non-negotiable. ✊🏽🧡
