I’m excited to announce our new storefront and workshop: GRAINLINE.

This brick-and-mortar space will serve as the flagship location for DENIMANI, as well as a shop for an eclectic selection of artisan-made garments and home goods from brands around the world.

With GRAINLINE, we’re creating a unique shopping experience in the heart of Minneapolis, a professional workshop, space for fashion enthusiasts to gather, and through partnership with community organizations, develop programming focused on the career development of local designers.

Some of the programming includes:

* Wholesale Entry Program
* A quarterly program that will take a chosen applicant through a course that will equip them with the skills to talk to retailers and prepare a collection that can be financially successful. The participant will then have their collection housed in GRAINLINE for a period of time.

* Film/Study Night
* On film/study nights, we will dive into fashion media and hold space for conversation and discovery. This also includes diving into the fashion archives within the College of Design at the U of M.

* Artist Workshop/Talks
* Space will be held for established artists within diverse disciplines to teach their craft or discuss various topics relating to the arts.

* + many more

Conceptualized from a yearning of a capable fashion industry with which I could find sustainability as an artist, GRAINLINE intends to be the catalyst our local industry needs to not only equip current and future designers for long-term success with their careers, but to usher in a renaissance of taste, appreciation, and adoption of contemporary fashion in our city.

We are building this from the ground up, so opening day has yet to be announced.
