The city walls of Dubrovnik are so strong and complete that they’ve never been breached by an enemy army, not once in their history! They stretch for almost 2 kilometers, up to 25 meters high, and were constantly reinforced from the 12th to the 17th century.

When you walk them today, you’re literally walking the same path guards once used to watch for pirates and foreign armies. And get this, George R. R. Martin’s crew thought they were so perfect that parts of the walls doubled as King’s Landing in Game of Thrones.
