6/10 - Cyberpunk 2077 (PS5)
I’m recycling this pic from a Feb 2022 post, because after 3 years, I got a PS5 and played this beloved game. And let me tell you before you get mad at my opinion, I understand why (if) you liked it.
The graphics are amazing, the city is so big and you can explore a lot, the shooting action parts are great and I enjoyed them very much, and Keanu Reeves… ‘ ’BUT’ ‘ the story is incredibly boring and predictable. And I don’t mean just the main story, the side stories are the same, and the cutscenes are slow, too abundant, and many of them totally useless to the story.
Yes, those s • e • x scenes are well made, but why are they even making them? I wanna shoot something or drive through the city, let me at least fast forward on them. I felt like I was watching more cutscenes than the time I was actually playing.
Also, When I have to follow someone, why do they walk so slow? And the long rides in the car… I’m so glad I could jump those.
Needless to say I did not go searching for different endings and I passed on the DLC. I did like Panam’s character, so I did try to finish her side quests… but the rest was just boring and wanted to advance asap so I’d get to the enjoyable action parts.
So I think 6 out of 10 is fair, thinking of the amazing looks of the game and the action. What did you think of it yourself? Did you like Cyberpunk 2077?
