Valley of the Seven Stars:

This festival was life giving for me. Being solo at a festival in a my new home state let me feel FREE to be, share, and express myself with full authenticity. While I was there I captured some clips on the new GoPro ILS camera. I went not to create something, but to be in the experience. But… after looking through all my videos, I feel like I captured the essence of the festival and what it’s like to be in the crowd, enjoying the music. The first half is slowmo tests, the second half of the video is where things get good.

Thank you Seven Stars and @griz! I needed this.

Much love,
Trent. 💛

This thing is awesome! Dwarfs the original AT-AT in size and detail. They did an incredible job on it! 👏🔥

This was a super fun setup to do. Wasn’t too sure it was going to work out, but once I poured the flour all over the paper, I knew I could get a result! 😅😁📸

Was it worth the mess I created? You tell me! 😅🧹

The rupee recovered ₹1 against the US dollar over the weekend. But will this recovery last? 🇮🇳💵

The RBI has stepped in with 3 major measures to control the dollar’s rise, including direct dollar access for oil companies, tighter currency hedging rules, and a crackdown on large currency bets.

However, rising crude oil prices and foreign investors pulling money out of India continue to put pressure on the rupee.

The RBI may have slowed the fall for now, but the bigger question is whether it can sustain this recovery.

HR Ko Reply Dene Se Pehle Yeh Dekho

Your offer letter decides more than just your salary. A few lines can affect your take-home pay, notice period and future career.
Before signing, check these 3 things:
1. Monthly In-Hand Salary
Don’t judge an offer by CTC alone. Ask HR for a detailed monthly salary breakup, including deductions, variable pay and employer contributions.
2. Notice Period Clause
Check the notice period for both you and the company. If the terms are different, ask HR to clarify them in writing before signing.
3. Job Role and Responsibilities
Make sure your designation and responsibilities match what was discussed during the interview. Get any important promises confirmed in the offer letter.
Bonus tip: Read the service bond carefully. Don’t assume every bond is automatically invalid in India. Enforceability depends on its terms and applicable law.
FAQ
Q. Is CTC the same as in-hand salary?
No. CTC may include employer contributions, bonuses, benefits and other components that aren’t part of your monthly take-home pay.
Q. Can I negotiate my notice period before joining?
Yes. You can request changes and get the final agreed terms documented before signing.
Q. What if my offer letter mentions a different role?
Ask HR to correct the designation and responsibilities in writing before accepting.
Q. Are employment bonds illegal in India?
Not automatically. Their enforceability depends on the specific agreement and applicable law.
Comment “HR” and I’ll share the email template you can use to reply to HR.
