It’s a funny thing, presenting yourself in your most empowered moments when, in reality, those moments are only a percentage of the story. It wouldn’t be honest of me, as a human or as an artist, to leave out everything that happened in between. The empowered, healing, badass woman you see is real; however, the woman struggling, spiraling, and fighting in silence existed too. I have felt like a complete fucking mess and a rising phoenix at the exact same time. Both were true. Both were me. Healed is pain turned into art. It is the visual story of me becoming my own best healer. (And the truth is, that journey never ends.) This is the side no one ever got to see. The story I never got to tell. Nov. 3rd, I get to share a glimpse :) Created by @janelleginestra Directed by @janelleginestra @directedbyembryo DP’s @asedasaturov @directedbyjon @qewly Edited by @janelleginestra @directedbyembryo @asedasaturov @directedbyjon Executive Producer @ladykmedia Choreographed by @janelleginestra @wbezz Costume Design by @ericas_style Trailer edit: @slappedtogetherfilms
