For those who’ve known me in my Burlesque life 💃✨—or even way back in my music days 🎶🎤—you know I’ve always been an anti-diva 🚫👑. I was an “ugly duckling” 🦆➡️🦢, a late bloomer who didn’t blossom until 25 🌸. I never expect to see my name on a “Top 50” list 📝⭐… but to be mentioned by the @21stcenturyburlesque Top 50’s Top 50 most influential in the world? It’s incredibly flattering 🥹💫.

One of my biggest struggles—and sometimes the thing that makes me feel like quitting (especially, with this cultural climate ) 😮‍💨 🌲 makin me want to disappear into the woods—is receiving flowers 💐, credit 🎖️, and respect ✊🏾. I’ve never been great at receiving compliments. But real talk me & my bestie Elyse 👯‍♀️ #Womanopoly 💎 have been holding it down for 14 #years 🔥 and don’t plan on stopping anytime soon ✨. Burlesque is the industry I love most 💖💃—it’s given me more than I can ever explain 🌈🌍.

And it makes me so happy 😍🎉 to see so many Bay Area legends 🌉✨ on this list—people I’ve admired since day one 🙌🔥. @dasha_cayenne & @themarilynwithmelanin—I’m talkin’ about you two heffas lol 💋👯‍♀️💎💃.

This shoutout came at the perfect time ⏰✨—just before I head to Spain 🇪🇸✈️ for the @bcnburlesquemeeting 🎭💃 to reunite with chosen family 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦💖.
