I had no idea any of this was happening—next thing I know, I get a DM from @quindelanoche 🖤🙌✨ Thank you, Qu’in! 💋💎

For those who’ve known me in my Burlesque life 💃✨—or even way back in my music days 🎶🎤—you know I’ve always been an anti-diva 🚫👑. I was an “ugly duckling” 🦆➡️🦢, a late bloomer who didn’t blossom until 25 🌸. I never expect to see my name on a “Top 50” list 📝⭐… but to be mentioned by the @21stcenturyburlesque Top 50’s Top 50 most influential in the world? It’s incredibly flattering 🥹💫.

One of my biggest struggles—and sometimes the thing that makes me feel like quitting (especially, with this cultural climate ) 😮‍💨 🌲 makin me want to disappear into the woods—is receiving flowers 💐, credit 🎖️, and respect ✊🏾. I’ve never been great at receiving compliments. But real talk me & my bestie Elyse 👯‍♀️ #Womanopoly 💎 have been holding it down for 14 #years 🔥 and don’t plan on stopping anytime soon ✨. Burlesque is the industry I love most 💖💃—it’s given me more than I can ever explain 🌈🌍.

And it makes me so happy 😍🎉 to see so many Bay Area legends 🌉✨ on this list—people I’ve admired since day one 🙌🔥. @dasha_cayenne & @themarilynwithmelanin—I’m talkin’ about you two heffas lol 💋👯‍♀️💎💃.

This shoutout came at the perfect time ⏰✨—just before I head to Spain 🇪🇸✈️ for the @bcnburlesquemeeting 🎭💃 to reunite with chosen family 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦💖.

💐 Huge love to @bettinamaystudios 📸✨ for capturing my glow-up—from tomboy 🧢👟➡️ to the woman I am today 💃🔥. BTW keep your eyes peeled🦇🎃📷 for for my upcoming Halloween shoot—I can’t wait to share it 👻✨🖤.

🌟✨ NOLA MAGIC ✨🌟

Y’all, New Orleans has been treating me RIGHT! 💃🔥 Yesterday, I had the honor of performing at Alchemy Hour Burlesque for Mx Juno’s @thejunoproject_ FABULOUS show at LOTA, dancing to a Harry Connick Jr. song (SWOON) 🎷🎶 …and THEN today, my boo got me tickets for my birthday to Jazz Fest! 🎺🌞

✨ To top it all off, we saw the man himself, Harry Connick Jr., @harryconnickjr LIVE on stage! 😍💥 Full circle moment—remember when I was on his television show 8 years ago?! (Slide 3 for a trip down memory lane 😍📺)

Oh, and did I mention the crawfish bread and pralin stuffed beignets ? 🦞(Life-changing, truly.)

Big thanks to the incredible @RamonaRoseNola for snapping this rad pic of me living my BEST life in this magical city. 📸✨

NOLA, you’ve got my heart! 🖤⚜️ But the adventure isn’t over—Monday night, catch me performing in Betsy Propane’s @betsy_propane Smoke Snow Cabaret at the Allways Lounge @allways_cabaret_club , 7 PM, $20 cover (21+ only)! 🌙🎭

Well, y’all asked for Canva, so here we are. 😂 A little behind-the-scenes look at Brazilian AF’s refreshed graphics, put together by us.

We heard the concerns about the AI-generated lettering in our original design and made changes. Canva btw also offers AI tools, so this conversation deserves more nuance than the platform we use.

We’re a tiny Black-owned, immigrant-owned business cooking, creating, and working hard to keep going. We respect fellow artists and understand that people have strong feelings about these tools. But the hellfire and brimstone over a graphic? That’s been a lot.

Between fears around ICE, discrimination, and keeping the bills paid, we’re already carrying plenty. We need our community’s support, and we hope feedback can come with the same care folks want us to show.

Fresh look. Same people. Same delicious coxinhas. Come get fed. 💚💛

💚💛 EVEN HUSTLERS NEED TO REST! 🥰🇧🇷

Yesterday was unexpectedly tumultuous, but through all the chaos, we showed up, rocked it out, and SOLD OUT OF EVERY LAST COXI! 🙌🏾🔥

But here’s the thing: You can’t keep pouring from an empty cup! Between building Brazilian AF, showing up for our community, and navigating life’s curveballs, sometimes we forget that rest, love, and quality time are just as important as the hustle.

So today, Jay and Sarge are officially OFF THE CLOCK! 💋❤️ We’re choosing each other, recharging our batteries, and giving ourselves some much-needed TLC.

The grind will still be there tomorrow, but these moments together are priceless.

Consider this your reminder to refill YOUR cup, too! You deserve rest without guilt. 💚

Much love from your favorite Coxi Slingers! 🇧🇷😘

BACK IN THE BAY, BABY!!! 🇪🇸✈️🌉💚💛

Spain was INCREDIBLE. I had such a beautiful time reconnecting with my burlesque family, seeing old friends, made some new friends some new memories, and getting closer with some folks I haven’t always had the opportunity to spend real quality time with. My heart is FULL. 🥹❤️

But BAYBEEEE… your girl is HOME.

And nobody is happier about that than JAY (and my mom lol). 😂💚 My partner in action has his spicy girlfriend back, and Brazilian AF is officially back at FULL POWER. 🇧🇷⚡️

Seriously though, doing these pop-ups solo is HARD, and I appreciate every single person who showed up, bought some coxi, checked on Jay, supported the business, and showed him love while I was overseas. Y’all really helped hold us down, and that means EVERYTHING to us. 🙏🏾💛

BUT NOW SARGE IS BACK ON THE BLOCK. 😎

TONIGHT:
🎤 WHITE HORSE at 9PM
We’ll be slinging COXI, singing karaoke and catching up with everybody!

THEN…
🍗 THE AVENUE shortly after!

( Full schedule in the second slide!!)

Don’t be shy! PULL UP ON ME. Give me a welcome-back hug, tell me what the hell I missed, grab some Brazilian AF goodness, put a cloud in the sky with Jay ☁️💨 and SAY HI TO THOR! 🐶😊

I missed my Oakland people. Come see your girl.

SARGE IS HOME. 💚💛🇧🇷
