Being present for and bearing witness to the birth of this incredible little soul, who is more perfect than I ever imagined, was nothing short of life changing. I don’t mean in the obvious ways- new responsibilities, baby firsts, etc- I mean experiencing and supporting my love, my partner, through the most incredible thing a human can physically do, and way in which, on an almost metaphysical, cellular level, I felt the bond between us deepen.

Jean, watching you take to motherhood, even before little Eve arrived (3 weeks early!), has left me in awe and has evolved my love, and pride, further than I knew possible.

There is no one else I’d rather be on this journey with than you and Eve.

I am humbled beyond my wildest dreams.
