Lesbian, gay, or bisexual identification among younger U.S. high school students has fallen sharply, according to CDC Youth Risk Behavior Survey data analyzed by San Diego State University psychologist Jean Twenge and reported by The Washington Post. Among ninth-grade girls, LGB identification dropped from 30% in 2021 to 17% in 2025. Bisexual identification in that group fell by half, from 26% to 13%. Among ninth-graders overall, LGB identification fell from 17% in 2023 to 11% in 2025. Twenge said the change "really does look like a free fall," but that the cause is unclear. The CDC's 2025 YRBS is a nationally representative survey of students in grades 9–12. Coverage citing the agency's data guide put the usable sample at 10,710 questionnaires from 108 schools (30.6% overall response rate). Twenge's percentages exclude students who chose another identity, were unsure, or said they did not understand the question. The Williams Institute's Jody Herman cautioned that Twenge's write-up did not include confidence intervals. BREAKING: Katie Zacharia is done as White House Press Secretary. Fox News has confirmed she will be transitioning out of her role.
It flew. Live. In front of a crowd. Not a render. Not AI. On Oct 15 in Texas, Tesla’s new Roadster drove itself up a ~21-metre ramp and hung upside down on suction fans. Then it fired cold-gas thrusters, jumped over five parked Teslas, flipped in the air, and landed on its wheels. No driver inside. On Tesla’s own timer: 0 to 60 in 0.81 seconds. The top version, Rocket, claims under 0.59 seconds with 10 thrusters. Tesla says it can fly. It is not approved for public roads. I break down the engineering in the full video on my YouTube, @amaar.h. The honest part: no price announced, production promised for 2028 — and in 2017 he promised this same car for 2020. Do you believe him this time? #Tesla #Roadster #ElectricalEngineering #EV #Engineering
