Full transparency - what I wish people knew about me as someone who wears hearing aids 🦻

✔️ It’s not that i don’t hear - it’s that i’m always trying to

✔️ Sometimes I laugh along even when I didn’t catch the joke

✔️ I get what’s called listening fatigue. It’s real and it’s draining

✔️ My hearing aids help me connect, but they don’t make things perfect

✔️ Group settings and background noise can be exhausting

I used to look at it as a weakness. Now I see them as a reminder that I keep showing up, even when it’s hard. 🤍
