My dad called me today and told me that he was furloughed.
He works at Robbin’s Air Force Base as the Family Support Coordinator for the Exceptional Family Members Program (a unit deemed “non essential” during this shutdown.

Praise God he has another job but as a 54 year old army veteran, why is this the NECESSITY?

I’m just thinking about those whose parents don’t have additional sources of income. Tough decisions are already having to be made about how to pay these light bills. Now folks have to worry about how they’re gonna put food on the table???

Tell the republicans that livelihoods are at stake here. It’s time to get back to business for the sake of the American people.
End the government shutdown!
