I’m a bit embarrassed to admit that… 1. I used terms I didn’t agree with because I knew they’d go viral. when I first started posting here, I called myself “skinny fat” in my before photos because I knew it would get views, I’m not proud and I’m really embarrassed by it now. ps. if you’re a creator trying to grow, please don’t make the same mistake I did. chasing viral trends and hooks for views and follows isn’t worth it if they don’t line up with your values. 2. it hurts my feelings when people say I must be a bad mum because I prioritise my fitness. I haven’t seen my own mum in 15 years so it hits close to home. I don’t believe what they say but part of me feels so guilty because I work more now than I ever did in my 9-5 and I wish I had more time to give my son. but I also know that taking 30 minutes a day to train for my mental health isn’t the issue. 3. I care more about how I look than I’d like to admit. I care about my health and what I put in my body, but I also get fillers and botox, and I’d rather be upfront about it. tying your self worth to your looks is a really hard habit to break (and it’s something I have to keep paying attention to). 4. I find it really hard to watch myself in my own programs. every time I create a new program I find it hard to follow along myself because I find myself a bit (a lot) cringy and I still have imposter syndrome. I have to turn the sound off when I do them. 5. I’m so proud of what I’ve overcome to get to where I am today but there are still days I feel like I’m not good enough or not doing enough. the DMs I get from women that always start with “I don’t know if you’ll ever see this message” and then tell me how I’ve changed their life mean more to me than they will ever know I don’t always get things right, my life can be a bit messy sometimes but we’re all doing the best we can and I’d love to connect with other women who feel the same way and want to lift each other up.
