11 days ago@martinlewismse please advise us on how to fund our children without using the student loan company and fund it privately.. what are the best options.. if we borrow the £££ elsewhere, my daughter will clear it much quicker I’ve no doubt…
4 months agoReports indicate that the Global Banking School (GBS) has been implicated in a major UK higher education fraud scandal, with allegations that GBS and its franchised partners were connected to securing over £108 million in student loans, amid concerns that large numbers of enrolled students lacked genuine academic intent.
7 months agoUK student loans are loans sharks that aren't regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority, the high street Banks are greater and kinder so never ever get a UK student loan. UK student loans lied to people, people weren't told about interest! The whole UK student loan is a scam and a lie and we should all campaign to remove that system due to being misled and lied to by UK schools, teachers, UK government and lefties. Literally ruined and still ruining people's lives then the UK government wants UK people to have children when because of the UK student loan are those people able to afford to have children 😂 the UK is disgusting, shameful and deeply upsetting. UK Student loans even try to collect from homeless people when there are their lowest in life and don't care if they're suicidal. Lets all start a campaign against UK student loans! All those people that have mental health issues because people are punished for trying to be greater 😢 always thought the UK was a higher power, above all evil but UK student loans are slowly rotting away at the UK people, so sad
7 months agoNo one is talking about what you repay each year. It is the life time of the loan. Why should you pay 250k over the lifetime of the loan.
7 months agoAdd that 9% on top of 20% basic tax, the 12% NI, the 7% pension and the 40% over the higher rate threshold....
7 months agoIt is not a graduate tax it is taken after tax and national insurance. It should be treated as salary sacrifice as you would a pension, 9% off your gross salary pre tax is not as impactful as 9% of your gross salary taken from your net pay. The government should allow overpayments or additional voluntary payments to be credited with the proportionate tax added to incentivise repayment.
7 months agoI'm sure you can pay extra like a car loan or mortgage let's you.
7 months agoWatch the Government move the goal posts as the years past, it's going to be unsustainable.
7 months agoI swear in 2015 I was sold a 20 year tax, now I see it’s 30 years for me? Also borrowed 46k and it’s currently worth 73k, can’t wait to check it in 25 years and see that I owe millions 😂
