A couple years ago @its_avgust and I had an idea for an album that samples itself. Today “on the flipside” is finally out.
The album has 4 r&b/indie tracks and 4 hip hop tracks. Each of the hip hop tracks samples one of the r&b tracks.
The idea initially came during a trip to Toronto. We were at @waves.flp studio and were inspired by the way everyone there created music without expectation.
All tracks produced by me with the help of the very talented @danvucko and @ellissworld
Thank you also to …
@hellovicco @ryangoodrichmusic @nataleerobayo for adding fantastic vocals to the album
@joe_heap @redpeakfilms for traveling to New York to bring the music videos to life
@dillongadoury for the lovely trailer and cover art
@keethuram for the the cover photo and @tenblns for the sample breakdown video
