![In the Panduranga Mahatmya (37.24), Lord Shiva says to Shri Vitthala: “Your consort, Rukmini, is Mahalakshmi, who resides in Kolhapur, adorned with a mace, a citrus fruit, a shield, and golden pitchers, radiantly beautiful.”
Likewise, the Vishnupurana Pandharapura Mahatmya (6.49) glorifies the Goddess:
“In the sacred western city of Karveer dwells Narayani Rama, the beloved of Shriman Mahavishnu. A single glimpse of her divine form bestows abundant wealth and auspicious fortune upon mortals.”
Thus, the scriptures celebrate the inseparable identity of Rukmini, Rama, Narayani, and Mahalakshmi, the eternal Shakti and beloved consort of Shri Narayana.
She who stands beside Panduranga as Rukmini is the very same Divine Mother who reigns majestically over Karveer as Ambabai Mahalakshmi. Though worshipped in different sacred abodes, Her divine essence remains one and eternal.
Jai Shri Rukmini Mahalakshmi! Jai Karaviranivasini Ambabai! 🪷🙏
