Today marks 1 month since you left us José, and it’s been so hard not being able to see, hear, and touch you. I know your spirit is still with me and will continue to live your legacy through all the love and good lessons you’ve taught me. You really did impact in my life and made me into a better person.

I want to thank you for this beautiful friendship that we’ve created, where I also got to meet beautiful people through you. I want to thank you for all the good laughs and moments that we got to create. I want to thank you for always believing in me and always having the right words to tell me for when I felt discouraged. Mostly, I want to thank you for creating a safe space for me, where I could feel trusted and loved.

You always lived life to the fullest without any regrets, and that’s how it should be. I’m sad we’re not going to witness our first gray hair/wrinkle together, our future lovers, and any other future achievements on the way. I know our friendship ain’t over because I still feel you everywhere I go. I see you in every person we’ve met, every song I listen, every beautiful sky I see, and every cat I encounter.
