In the simplest of terms, I don’t know where I’d be without Critical Role. I cannot communicate in words sincere or all-consuming enough how profoundly meaningful it was to meet the cast of CR, to meet the people responsible for changing my life in the most unimaginable of ways; sincerely, I would not be here today, nor be the person I am proud to be becoming, without them. To have had even the brief opportunity to share a snippet of that unending gratitude and appreciation was nothing short of an absolute dream! I’ve been left all happy and hopeful and full of bright, unfiltered joy and passionate, fervent love for this gorgeous little life of mine! 🫶
I cannot fathom what my life would look like without having stumbled into the world of D&D, into the stories and characters I have come to know and love and resonate with so deeply. Sometimes I wonder how I can make it through this world knowing that hard times and bad things are inevitable, and will keep happening. But I know CR, and everything it stands for, will always remain a blinking light in that darkness. An opportunity to escape, a channel for creativity, filled with worlds so vast and rich and beautiful, and with so much love and heartache and hilarity.
What a beautiful gift we have been given. For the love of friends and found family, for the love of community, for the love of shared passion, for the love of storytelling, for the love of art in all its forms. For the love of these worlds and these characters and the fondness with which we fans and makers cradle it all. How lucky we all are. How lucky indeed. Don’t forget to love each other, and is it Thursday yet? ♥
