For the first time in 10 years(🤯), I won’t be in the start gate in Finland this December — or competing on the World Cup Tour at all this year. Over the last three seasons, I have been managing some pretty significant knee pain that resulted from a funky landing and progressively became more intense with impact. (Yes…I fit the moguls stereotype 🙄) Making it to the Games and giving it my all there was my top priority, but it’s now time for me to take a step back and give my ski career (and my long-term health) some real TLC. 🙂‍↕️ I opted to get a cartilage replacement surgery this summer and am thankfully on the up! I feel incredibly fortunate to be surrounded by a team that’s up for the challenge in being creative at managing my volume, reestablishing many…many movement patterns, and being there for me when I wasn’t sure my body would simply make it to the next day of competition. ❤️ @usskiteam
