You all know how I love recreating Sridevi Ji’s iconic looks and expressions in everything I do. I’ve recreated so many of her looks, but the iconic Chandni look was still on my wishlist. & now, with @rajchoco @svfsocial & @sonyaathofficial by my side, that dream has finally come true! What makes it even more special is that every team I’ve worked with has always shown so much love and respect for the woman I’ve admired, loved, and idolised for so long. They not only understand my admiration for her but also give me the freedom and support to recreate her magic in my own way. For me, it’s never just about recreating a look. It’s about celebrating the legend who continues to inspire me, over and over again. Forever inspired. Forever in awe. Forever my Sridevi Ji. πŸ’›πŸ™πŸ»
Anti-drug activist Parvinder Singh Jhota was shot dead in broad daylight in Punjab’s Mansa on Tuesday, October 13, during a confrontation at a medical store over the alleged sale of drugs. The incident was captured on a Facebook LIVE broadcast, with footage reportedly showing the argument escalating into gunfire. Four of Jhota’s companions were also reported injured in the incident. Jhota was known for his campaign against drug abuse and the alleged sale of narcotic substances and prohibited medicines in the region. He had reportedly confronted people suspected of selling drugs and mobilised local support against the menace. His anti-drug activities had also led to disputes in the past. According to initial reports, Jhota arrived at the medical store with associates and questioned the shop owner over alleged drug sales. The confrontation escalated, and the shop owner was accused of opening fire. Jhota was rushed to a hospital, where he was declared dead. The circumstances surrounding the shooting and the allegations against the shop owner remain subject to investigation. The killing has renewed concerns about the safety of people who confront suspected drug-related activities in Punjab. The state has faced persistent concerns over substance abuse, particularly the impact of drugs on young people and families. The incident also raises questions about how allegations of illegal drug sales are investigated and how those reporting suspected wrongdoing can be protected. However, the full motive behind the shooting and the sequence of events must be established through the police investigation. The viral footage has brought the incident into public focus, while the killing has sparked concern in Mansa. Further details about the investigation and action against those responsible are awaited.
