The astonishingly beautiful 黄山 Huang Shan is one of my favourite places in the world. I’m proper privileged to have now been not just once but twice to this UNESCO World Heritage Site in Anhui, China. Bigger and bigger views just keep on coming, around every corner, and over every rise… you just run out of words. It’s just… is it a dream?

A joint press conference by All India Students’ Association (AISA) president Neha Bora and Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke turned chaotic in New Delhi on October 15, as a group of people interrupted the event with slogans. Shouts of “Band karo… dafa ho jao” (Stop it… get lost) could be heard as the press conference began at the Press Club of India. Bora urged the organisers to escort those disrupting the event out, while Dipke addressed the ongoing protests against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. He alleged that student activists and opposition leaders had been detained during demonstrations over the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls. The press conference was also attended by advocate Prashant Bhushan, Kapil Sibal and actor Prakash Raj. The incident came a day before CJP’s planned “Lehra Do Tiranga” march in Delhi’s Connaught Place, where authorities had stepped up security and imposed restrictions on public gatherings. The protests centre on demands for Gyanesh Kumar’s resignation and allegations of irregularities in voter-list revisions—claims disputed by the Election Commission.
