Compact rig, huge bass tone! 🎸⚡️ Pro session bassist Pato Flores keeps her live setup simple and deadly with the STEAM®BASS Compressor and BASSTARD Overdrive. Tight compression for fast passages, paired with aggressive grit that keeps the low frequencies completely intact. What’s running on your bass board right now? #ThornSoundLabs #PedalboardsOfDoom #Basstard #Steambass #BassGear

An orange haze blankets Palangka Raya, Central Kalimantan, as residents continue their daily activities amid smoke from forest and land fires (karhutla). Photos captured on October 13, 2026, show vehicles navigating through the haze and a street vendor continuing to push his ice dessert cart despite the poor visibility. The situation highlights how the impact of forest and land fires extends beyond the environment, affecting everyday life and potentially posing serious health risks to local residents. 💔💔💔💔 [via: @a_rizaldi]
28 years of Without You I’m Nothing 🖤 Go on, try picking just ONE song from this album. I dare you! And If you could only quote one line, which would it be? Placebo’s second studio album, ‘Without You I’m Nothing’, a timeless alternative rock classic, was released on 12 October 1998 and reached No. 7 on the UK Albums Chart. If Placebo's self-titled debut was the night before, Without You I'm Nothing is the morning after. Whereas their first singles swaggered with libidinous confidence, the songs on Without You reek of self-loathing, guilt, and shame. “By the time that we came off tour, I was in such a fragile emotional state that I ended up on anti-depressants. I was just fucked up. I'd taken my soul through the blender, and I really just didn't know who I was anymore. I was disgusted with myself.” But adversity has always been an engine of creativity. After coming off the road, the band locked themselves into a subterranean room with no windows for two months and wrote the new record. “We had to do a lot of soul-searching. We had to really look inside of ourselves and... realise what we had done. I think there's a lot of guilt on that record, and it talks about a few relationships that I had which I think that I basically did my best to ruin but I didn't know any better at the time. It's a very heartbroken album.” Looking back at Without You I'm Nothing 28 years later, the album was a major building block in shaping Placebo into the band we know today. The iconic yellow cover of WYIN was designed by English photographer Corinne Day. It features sisters Sarah and Sally sitting at a table, gazing down. The soft light filtering through the curtains creates a warm yellow hue that defines the album's aesthetic. #placebo #placeboworld #brianmolko #90s #alternativerock @placeboworld
