Chinese entrepreneur and ZXMOTO founder Zhang Xue has set a Guinness World Record after riding a specially modified motorcycle across 40.74 kilometres of open water in Mayang County, Hunan Province, on October 25, 2026. He surpassed the previous record of 31.8 kilometres.
The achievement came after 17 years of attempts. Back in 2009, Zhang's motorcycle sank after travelling just 20 metres. This time, his modified MX450 featured special flotation and waterproofing systems, helping him complete the challenge and fulfil his long-standing dream.

After all was said and done….
