When things got rough and I started sharing our fertility struggles in real time, I never expected it to build a community like this. I never expected to reach so many of you or to feel so supported. Somewhere along the way it gave me a sense of purpose and I promised I’d keep going. If there’s one thing you should know about me, it’s that I always keep my word. I recently saw a video of the philosopher Alain de Botton describing how friendships form: you share your suffering and hold hands through the valley of darkness. One of you says “it’s sht, isn’t it?” and the other says “yeah, it’s really sht - but we like each other and we’re going to support each other.” That’s exactly what this has been. By sharing my suffering, I’ve connected with so many women who, like me, never saw IVF on their timeline. And oh my goodness, I have never been so grateful for science - because on Tuesday 28th, seven days after our embryo transfer, we got the positive test we never thought we’d see 🥹 There are no words for how happy we are and we’re still in a bit of disbelief. Some will disagree with sharing this so early, but for us it’s made it feel real - and how lucky are we to get to celebrate with all of you? This process has completely shifted my perspective. IVF is a privilege and I wish it were available to so many more people. Scientists, doctors, nurses, embryologists - they dedicate their lives to helping people build families. HOW COOL ARE THEY. Thank you for every prayer and manifestation (they worked). And to anyone in the thick of it right now, I hope this brings you a whole lot of hope 🤍
Breaking news: Blackstone told investors Anthropic may not receive an investment-grade rating immediately after going public, a reversal from its previous guidance that would complicate the AI lab’s ability to finance its massive spending. Anthropic filed to go public on Monday, setting up what could be the largest listing of all time next month. The AI lab’s prospectus sketched out its 'bold but sane' plans to spend more than $800bn on computing infrastructure between now and 2045. An investment-grade credit rating is central to those ambitions, enabling Anthropic to borrow at lower rates to finance its AI infrastructure projects. Tap the link in our bio to read the full exclusive story.
