Well you just changed the meaning of the song tho. Like it's good, but that's not what she was saying. She's talking to her boo saying my life may look sparkly but it's a shit show. I look like an untouchable queen but I'm just a human. So whatever happens the first thing for me is going to be you from now on

Your voice is so pretty! Imo, I do think the majority of those lyric changes completely take away from what she was trying to say though. Like with the wolves line, she's saying that eldest daughters are naturally soft and tender (at least she is) but that society compels us to put on a mask and pretend to be tough even though we're not. It's a facade and we actually desire warmth and devotion. And then with the chorus she is saying I've gotten to this point in my life and have accepted I am soft and tender and cringe, not tough and conniving, and she's flipping it around and saying to Travis that because I've accepted who I am I can now offer you my pure loyalty and devotion, and I don't think she has ever been more giving to a muse in a song before. Part of the reason this is such a unique track 5! Is it her best work, probably not, but it's just so HER that's why I love it
