The phone started to vibrate right when the revs went up for Moto One on Sunday. Mawmaw decided while leaving church that it was the perfect time to see if we’d had a fun weekend and if we were home yet. I didn’t answer, but after the field went through on Lap One, went to the side of the starting gate and somehow got a signal to call back to tell her it had been amazing, that the green flag just flew, and to thank her again for loving me so much.

Nothing compares to the Motocross of Nations. The past weekend felt like heaven, as I served a small purpose in a collective effort and saw how many people look after my family like their own.

Thank you to @elitomac @justincooper_32 @rjhampshire mikepelletiermx and @christinadenney for representing our country to the world, and to everyone on @teamusa.mxon for a well-earned second place. | @meganantonovich
