ᴍɪɴɪ ʀᴇᴠɪᴇᴡ:
𝐒𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐲 by Justin Dec is another reminder of why I love horror so damn much. This book is not just about the scares or blood. It’s about the story, the characters, their pain, and the emotions it leaves you with after turning the last page.

I could NOT put this book down, despite having three other current reads. My mind kept wandering back to the main character, John, and my desperate need to uncover the truth about his troubling past.

And then there’s the blue boy… and the others. I’m keeping things hush-hush, but trust me, that unsettling little presence added a whole other level of creepiness. Every appearance made things increasingly disturbing, and I’m still thinking about him.

But honestly, John absolutely broke me. Reading about both his childhood and present-day self made my heart ache. His grief, trauma, and pain felt so heavy, and I found myself feeling every bit of it right alongside him.

𝐒𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐲 has everything: grief, dread, creepy moments, and enough turmoil to put you through an entire fucking emotional workout. Justin Dec completely pulled me in, and I can honestly say this is one of my top reads of 2026.
