Still feeding hungry pollinators and hummingbirds in late fall is Beyond Midnight bluebeard (Caryopteris). Its deep blue flowers will draw your eye from across the yard - such a unique, vibrant color to pop against the fall trees! Hardy in zones 5-9, it grows about 2 to 2 1/2 feet tall and wide in full sun. Bluebeard needs well-drained soil to thrive and tolerates drought once established. Most people find it to be deer resistant. Find it at local garden centers and in our online store this fall.
