Loki spent years trying to control the universe. Then he reached a point where even time itself had to answer to him. In Loki Season 2, Episode 6, "Glorious Purpose," Tom Hiddleston delivers one of the Marvel Cinematic Universe's most unforgettable performances. The moment he demonstrates control over time in front of He Who Remains is thrilling, not simply because of how powerful he's become, but because of everything it took to get there. Jonathan Majors plays He Who Remains, a variant of Kang whose understanding of the timeline once made him seem almost untouchable. Earlier in the series, Loki was constantly dealing with forces that appeared to know more than he did. By the finale, the balance of power has shifted, and a familiar character is suddenly capable of doing something extraordinary. But the scene works because power isn't the only thing that has changed. Loki is no longer the arrogant trickster who wanted a throne simply to prove his worth. Across the Disney+ series, his relationships with Mobius, Sylvie, and the people at the Time Variance Authority force him to rethink what it means to have a purpose. That evolution gives the visual storytelling so much weight. The confidence in his movements, the stillness around him, and the tension of confronting someone who once controlled the rules all make the moment feel earned. It isn't just an impressive display of supernatural ability. It's years of character development arriving at a single point. Marvel has delivered countless spectacular battles, but some of its most powerful moments happen when a character finally understands what their abilities are for. Loki's journey from villain to something far more complicated is what makes "Glorious Purpose" so memorable. Save this scene for the Marvel fan who knows Loki's greatest power was never just his magic.

see you at the top😉
