ACP Manasvi Vashishta, who led the protest by police personnel outside the Delhi Police Headquarters on Monday, has been suspended for ‘violation of discipline’.  The suspension comes a day after around 100 police personnel, including women officers, protested outside Gate No. 1 of the Delhi Police Headquarters (PHQ) over the transfers of ACP Manasvi Vashistha and Inspector Arun Kumar. The police personnel demanded a meeting with Police Commissioner Anurag Kumar and the reinstatement of the two officials. An incident on October 23 at Shahdara police station is behind the protests. An advocate allegedly sustained a serious head injury during a scuffle at the station, prompting district court lawyers to launch an indefinite strike, demanding action against the police personnel involved. The strike was called off after the transfer orders were issued. The police personnel, however, opposed the transfers and sought action against the lawyers involved in the confrontation.

One week to go until USS 2026, Jakarta! Almost a decade into this journey, and there’s still so much we’re excited to share. We’ve come a long way since the beginning, and it’s been incredible to see how much USS has grown with the support of our brands, communities, and everyone who’s been with us throughout the years. This year, we’re welcoming over 300 curated brands, including more participants from our neighboring countries. Our Women’s Section is growing bigger than ever, alongside exclusive collaborations, special releases, music, art, and plenty of new experiences we’ve been working on. A lot has changed over the years, but the excitement of bringing everyone together remains the same. And none of this would be possible without the continued support of @bankbri_id, @simpati, @heinekenid, our collaborators @satucollective & @convert.id, participating brands, and every single person who has supported USS throughout the years. We’re grateful for how far we’ve come, and even more excited for what’s ahead. One more week. Let’s make this one to remember! A Florida paramedic and nurse, married just days earlier, survived Spain's deadly high-speed train collision — and jumped in to help others as smoke rose and power lines fell near their carriage.
