#1825 5 years sober This year shoooook me. So shaken by change that I barely recognize the life I’m standing in. I’ve loved. I’ve lost. I’ve grieved things I thought would look different by now. But, I get to walk through all of it sober. I get to feel it…even when it hurts…even when I don’t know what comes next. My roots have grown deeper through the sadness, but my branches have reached higher with the happiness. Trusting its always proportionate. Choosing each day to keep reaching toward the light. Some days, that’s adventure and laughter. Other days, it’s getting out of bed, showing up, and doing the next small thing I can manage. Those days count, too. Today, I’m grateful. For a changed perspective…for the people who’ve believed in me and helped me keep going…for the moments of joy I still get to find while I’m healing. Five years without a drop, and still learning how to live this life. Lucky to be here. Proud I’ve kept going. Grateful I get to keep finding out what’s next. One day at a time 🖤
