🦭 — Parliamentary questions are being asked today at 10 am! The Party for the Animals and D66 are putting questions to the government today in an effort to prevent the closure of the Seal Centre and the WEC. This is an incredibly important moment for the future of seal care! 🤞 We’ve been truly overwhelmed by all the support we’ve received recently. ❤️ So many kind messages, so much involvement, and so many people standing up for our seals and the future of their care. It means an enormous amount to us! A heartfelt thank you to everyone who is helping, sharing ideas and expressing their concern in any way they can. Together, we’re showing just how important this care is. 🙏 Behind the scenes, we as employees are doing everything we can to avoid having to file for bankruptcy. Unfortunately, this means we’re unable to attend the debate in person. But here in Lauwersoog, we’ll be following every moment closely and waiting anxiously to see what happens next… 🦭 #sealcentre #rescue #bankruptcy #animalrescue #debat
I’ve been working on a new top pattern, and the first version was pretty good. But I just couldn’t leave it alone. I started tweaking and tweaking, and somewhere along the way became fixated on every possible adjustment I could make to achieve sleeve perfection. I tried simplifying it, because I think the best design solutions are often the simplest, but that wasn’t better. Then I went in the opposite direction, exploring more traditional and technical pattern cutting methods, before eventually circling back to almost where I started. Six samples to discover that the first version was nearly there all along. But I don’t think the other five were a waste of time. Sometimes you need to try all the options to understand why something works… and to know when to leave it alone.
