it’s not that they haven’t changed, it’s that you have
the people who once saw you, don’t even see themselves
the places that brought you warmth, now bring you weight
and you realize the things you used to hold, held you back
you stop reaching for what’s gone and start responding to what’s real
you stop trying to be understood and start to understand yourself
you start moving in silence and stop moving in noise
because change doesn’t ask for permission, it asks for presence
and when you finally stop resisting and start accepting, you’ll realize…
