Jaime West, the Democratic candidate for Fayette County Council District 4 in Indiana, appears in a candidates’ forum interview aired on LocalTV3 in Connersville ahead of the November 3, 2026 general election. The segment was moderated by Amy Graham-McCarty of the Connersville News Examiner.

One day, naturalist Joe Hutto finds sixteen wild turkey eggs left on his porch in a dog bowl. He incubates them, waits for them to hatch, and makes sure his face is the first thing they see. Just like that, he’s their mother.

For the next 18 months, he lives alongside them in the Florida flatwoods. They follow him everywhere, he learns their calls, and gradually realises how much these birds understand about the forest that he doesn’t. They can sense a rattlesnake before he’s spotted it, and recognise a hawk from a harmless bird at a distance he can barely see.

By the end, I was ridiculously invested in the lives of sixteen turkeys.

The new Tesla Roadster literally flies 🤯

A year ago we did this with the one and only @snoopdogg When he was last in Australia. My mum actually confiscated Snoop’s first album from me when I was 13 - I got it back though😂The day after we filmed this, my mum had tears of joy when Zara and I shared the experience with her. Life’s a trip💙#snoopdogg
