The Giants would likely need to trade a 2nd-round draft pick to acquire Mac Jones, with San Francisco holding all the leverage in a potential deal, per the Pat McAfee show.

Additionally, Adam Schefter named Jones as an "interesting" trade candidate for New York, but also said it would be a high price,

"You could call San Francisco on Mac Jones, but it's gonna cost you a lot to get him out of there if the 49ers are even willing," Schefter said.

Jones started 8 games while Brock Purdy dealt with injuries in 2025, throwing for 2,151 yards, 13 TDs, and 6 INTs.

In a likely scenario, the Giants will wait another 1-2 weeks to see how Jameis Winston plays before making any potential QB1 moves, but it wouldn't be surprising if NY has already made some calls.
