I had the chance yesterday to stop by a family-run bakery in downtown Kitchener yesterday, after attending Oktoberfest. When you walk in, you’re greeted with the wonderful smells and vibes of Portuguese pastries, coffees and more. Following their original location located at the St. Jacob’s Farmer’s Market in Waterloo, they have now been able to open more locations across the tri-cities in New Hamburg and Cambridge as well.

A Portuguesa is your home away from home, where you can relax and enjoy amazing food, like sandwiches, soups, as well as numerous pastries and treats. They never fail to disappoint with their sandwiches, and my personal favourite which I highly recommend, is the Breakfast Deluxe on the Portuguese Bun (papo seco for my Portuguese friends:)
