Neighbors, this is a damn mess! Sauce Walka was caught saying some crazy things in an alleged recording posted by the mother of his child.

Kiley shared the recording of her having a back-and-forth with Sauce Walka on Instagram. She says he’s “already” put his hands on her before, and he denies it but says he “will” hit her in the future though. He then admits to having her jumped by his “h**s”.

Things really take a turn after he says he doesn’t “give a f**k” and exclaims that he would get Drake “smoked”. This is allegedly due to Drake messing with Kiley.

Kiley also posted to her Instagram story claiming that Sauce Walka has been harassing her and attempted to follow her from Houston to Dallas. She even shared that he allegedly has $3,400 in his checking account while claiming he’s the “richest in Houston”.

In 1969, India had a Moog synthesizer. Five composers. A studio inside a design school in Ahmedabad. And an audience of 20,000 people who came to hear electronic music played live.

Nobody talks about this. Not because it didn’t happen. Because the archive sat in a cupboard for 50 years.

The National Institute of Design was founded in 1961 on Ford Foundation money and Nehru’s vision for a modern India. It was the kind of place that hosted Le Corbusier, John Cage, and Buckminster Fuller. In 1969, composer David Tudor shipped a Moog synthesizer from New York and set up India’s first electronic music studio inside it.

What followed was three years of compositions that would later be described as proto-techno, avant-garde tape collages, and sci-fi futurism. S.C. Sharma’s “Dance Music” echoed early bleep techno before the genre existed. Jinraj Joshipura, 19 years old, made a piece called “Space Liner 2001.” Twenty thousand people attended a live electronic music event at the NID that same year.

Then the Cold War shifted. India signed a peace treaty with the Soviet Union. Nixon sided with Pakistan. US funding dried up. The Indian government sent in a retired admiral who had no interest in art. Students staged sit-ins. When he was fired he went to the press. The Times of India ran the headline: “Lid off NID.” Two committees investigated. The Sarabhais were cleared but the institution was declared lacking of purpose. By 1973 it was over. The tapes went into a cupboard.

In 2017, a British-Asian musician named Paul Purgas flew to Ahmedabad, found a handwritten note in a 1969 catalogue that said “tapes for David,” and opened a cupboard. He spent a year learning tape conservation at the British Library before returning with a food dehydrator to bake the degraded reels. S.C. Sharma’s tape alone had 100 Sellotape splices holding it together. It took him a full day to reassemble it.

In 2023, The NID Tapes: Electronic Music from India 1969-1972 was released. 19 tracks. 27 reels. Six composer. Go listen.
