Over 50 engaged people joined us to connect the dots between forest health, wildfire resilience, and wood products as part of National Forest Products Week in Sonoma County.
The energy and collaboration in the room were palpable, reflecting the growing momentum toward a more circular, regenerative forest stewardship economy.
We’re grateful to Jeremy Fisher for hosting us at @forestreecollective, Clarke Stevenson for attending and our ongoing collaboration with @hayforkwatershedcenter, Oren Wool for his presence and sponsorship via @usgbcca, Darek Trowbridge of Old World Winery, and our support crew Alena, Melia, Auna, and Lupe.
Our panel of wood whisperers was incredible: Sawyer Shawn Gavin, Jess Running of J&L Palo Urbano, Luke Martin of @sonoma_milling_co, Osha Levgin of @fullcirclemills, and Jeremy Fisher.
And, all of the organizations that came to share resources ensured that we could tie practices from the forest to wood products to the soil: All Hands Ecology’s @fire.forward , @sonomarcd, @goldridgercd, @firesafesonoma and @sonomaecologycenter’s Biochar Initiative. Thank you all!
