A Sonoma County vertically-integrated wood products company, our solid wood, minimalist designs sequester carbon and reduce wildfire risk.

Douglas fir (Pseudotsuga menziesii), is an extraordinary species that we use extensively in our designs.

For designers looking to source materials with both performance and provenance, fir isn’t just a beautiful choice, it’s a responsible one.

Thinking about local wood sourcing for your upcoming project? Reach out to us to discuss if Douglas fir is a fit.

We're thrilled about the overwhelming response to our open house during National Forest Products Week. Over 50 people joined us to talk about forestry, wildfire resilience, wood products and other by-products of forest health work such as soil amendments and biochar.

Huge thanks to our guest speakers, Jess Running of J&L Palo Urbano, Osha Levgin of Full Circle Mills, Luke Martin of Sonoma Millworks, Shawn Gavin, and Lewis Buchner of Myra Millworks.

Pictures by @lost_in_forestville feature Forestree Collective CEO, Jeremy Fisher touring the woodshop and our mass timber solar kiln.

We're also grateful for support from @calfire’s Business and Workforce Development grant program and the USFS’s Wood Innovation grant for helping grow our momentum.

Over 50 engaged people joined us to connect the dots between forest health, wildfire resilience, and wood products as part of National Forest Products Week in Sonoma County.

The energy and collaboration in the room were palpable, reflecting the growing momentum toward a more circular, regenerative forest stewardship economy.

We’re grateful to Jeremy Fisher for hosting us at @forestreecollective, Clarke Stevenson for attending and our ongoing collaboration with @hayforkwatershedcenter, Oren Wool for his presence and sponsorship via @usgbcca, Darek Trowbridge of Old World Winery, and our support crew Alena, Melia, Auna, and Lupe.

Our panel of wood whisperers was incredible: Sawyer Shawn Gavin, Jess Running of J&L Palo Urbano, Luke Martin of @sonoma_milling_co, Osha Levgin of @fullcirclemills, and Jeremy Fisher.

And, all of the organizations that came to share resources ensured that we could tie practices from the forest to wood products to the soil: All Hands Ecology’s @fire.forward , @sonomarcd, @goldridgercd, @firesafesonoma and @sonomaecologycenter’s Biochar Initiative. Thank you all!

Built from restoration. This table is made with small-diameter logs from Northern California forest restoration projects—wood that would otherwise have been left to burn or rot.

Milled, solar-kiln dried, and fabricated in our shop, this piece locks up carbon in a functional design.

This is how we make furniture with small-diameter timber. 🌲🪵
Small-diameter timber means working with narrower pieces of wood and assembling them into strong, beautiful finished pieces. It takes more thought, more joinery, and more time, but it allows us to make the most of the materials we have and honor the full potential of the tree.

Our new solar kiln—built with NLT, powered by the sun, and used to dry wood… to make more NLT. Closing the loop with low-tech solutions and high-impact materials. NLT or nail-laminated timber is an old-school way to do mass timber that requires minimal infrastructure.

$Forest stewards preparing for a prescribed burn.🔥 Managed fires and small tree removal are essential for reducing wildfire risks. Yet, out of over 440,000 acres of private forestland in Sonoma County, only a fraction are currently treated each year. We need to do more! See how we’re repurposing small trees from fuel reduction projects—link in bio.
